A short game for Game Maker's Toolkit Jam 2018.

The idea is to create shoot'em'up without shooting and without seeing the both of the core elements on the same screen. The "enemies" and the "player" are both on separate screens. The goal is to survive 3 stages.

Colliding with "bad vibes" causes player to lose 1 HP. Collecting of the green heart adds 1HP.

Controls: left and right arrows. Enter to start.

It is my first participation in Game Jams ever, so I hope you'll like this tiny game :) Have fun!

Detailed description:  Imagine that one usual field, where you have "player" and  "enemies" are separated in two fields. The "player" is on the right and  the "enemies" are on the left. Move the "player" with left and right arrows and try to avoid colliding with "enemies" that appear on the left side of the screen. Each collision with enemies lowers your HP. If you want to raise your HP, try to catch the green heart which appears from time to time on the right screen. The goal is to survive 3 stages.

Great idea, well executed and super simple to rap your head around! What is great about this game is that it is so minimal yet has a risk/reward element like most shoot'em'up titles. The player is given a choice to try and go for an extra life whilst also trying to keep track of negative vibes on the other side of the screen. In case you are having issues; hug a wall for the majority of the run :P

That exactly was the idea that I was trying to implement here, with the risk/reward. Mark was saying a lot about this stuff in his videos, so this idea kind of stuck in my head for a while now) Thanks for the feedback, I'm really glad you liked it :)

This is very clever and unique. Really great idea and the implementation was not bad. Aside from the little slide you have after you move, it's great!

Thanks, I'm glad that you liked it!

An interesting, yet somewhat confusing at first concept. The blocky art style and music are a definite plus.

Thanks for the feedback!

I suggest that you add how you should play in the description, besides just solely having the controls.

Yeah, good idea, ty.

Haha, I really like this! The name lends a lot of meaning to the mechanics...

Thanks!:)

Confusing, if you explained the controls it would be much easier

Left and right arrows to move, enter to start the game. The point is to avoid collision with elements on the left. It's basically same field but splitted in two. Yeah, It may be a bit confusing)
